Whether you are looking for an antenatal course, doula support for your labour and birth, or postnatal doula care, we guarantee that Birthability can provide you and your partner with the information and skills you need to prepare mentally and emotionally for the birth of your baby.
Our team of experienced doulas, teachers, and breastfeeding supporters, are all fully trained, enabling us to offer professional, non-judgmental support at all times. We pride ourselves on being the longest established independent teachers in the area, and our small team will meet you during early pregnancy, teach you in later pregnancy in your antenatal course and welcome you and your new baby into our postnatal coffee mornings. You will meet each member of our team, and we look forward to offering you personalized support during this incredible time.
Free Pregnancy Information Sessions:
Our monthly Pregnancy information session is an opportunity to talk “all things birth” for a couple of hours, whilst meeting other couples going through the same journey. Learn about your growing baby and the effects upon your own body, and see if your partner chooses to try on our empathy belly. Perhaps he will encourage you to put your feet up a bit more after “road testing” pregnancy for just 5 minutes!? We can discuss your options on where to birth, and of course teach you a tip or two about birth itself.
Antenatal Courses and 1-2-1 reviews.
With a full range of services, including:- full antenatal courses, one-to-one sessions in your own home, and access to our wonderful coffee mornings, we can meet every pregnant woman’s needs.
Our birth doulas will support you whatever type of birth you choose. We have a wide range of experience with home birth, water birth, midwife led birth, hospital birth, VBAC, & planned cesarean section.
Postnatal Doula Support and Postnatal courses.
The early days with a new baby can be both overwhelming and exhausting. Our experienced postnatal doulas will support you in your home, bringing reassurance whilst you find your feet, and enabling you to get some much needed rest. We also provide one-to-one breastfeeding support, and access to our weekly coffee mornings.
“You managed to combine complete professionalism with a warmth and humanity that made you feel like part of the family. We’ll always be grateful.”
“I felt so well prepared and calm thanks to your support, and I know that is why I managed the birth that I wanted. I will treasure the whole experience forever.”
“The course is fully inclusive of all birthing options and the important message I took away from it was that every birth, be that a C section or a natural birth, with pain relief or not, assisted or not, can be a positive experience.”
