About Me
Do you want to feel supported, informed and empowered as you move through the rite of passage of birth and postpartum? Do you want to feel honoured, celebrated, nourished and nurtured?
Have you heard of a doula? An emotional, practical and informational support to walk alongside you through the transition to motherhood, through your matrescence.
My Philosophy
My role as your doula is that of emotional space holder, to listen and validate, to signpost information to allow you to make the best decision for your family. It is an opportunity to nurture yourself as you transition into motherhood.
How I work
As your birth doula I work for you. We will spend time together antenatally, building a relationship so you and I both truly understand what is important to you from the birth of your baby. This enables me to support you in the best way as you birth and gives you that much needed continuity of care. I will support you and your family from when you book my services through to the birth of your baby and the early days afterwards. Doulas work alongside midwives, independent or within the NHS, providing much needed emotional support to mum as well as other birth partners.
As your postpartum doula I integrate my interest in ayurveda, ancient wisdom, and feminine seasons as well as postpartum nutrition to really support you to rest and recover. As a breastfeeding counsellor and Infant Feeding Coach™, I will support you to establish feeding and nurturing your baby. My role in postpartum really is to provide you the space to bond with your new baby and give that practical support around the home to allow you that space. I support partners and older children with the transition into this new family dimension and provide a reassuring energy in your space.
Pregnancy, birth and postpartum is a rite of passage, a step through into the magic of motherhood. I’d love to walk along with you.
